BAREFOOT IN THE PARK SHOW SYNOPSIS:
Barefoot in the Park - Paul and Corie Bratter are newlyweds in every sense of the word. He’s a straight-as-an-arrow lawyer and she’s a free spirit always looking for the latest kick. Their new apartment is her most recent find – too expensive with bad plumbing and in need of a paint job. After a six-day honeymoon, they get a surprise visit from Corie’s loopy mother and decide to play matchmaker during a dinner with their neighbor-in-the-attic, Velasco, where everything that can go wrong does. Paul just doesn’t understand Corie, as she sees it. He’s too staid, too boring, and she just wants him to be a little more spontaneous. Running “barefoot in the park” would be a start…

● Mrs. Banks (Mother) – Corie’s mother, late 40s-65, pretty, has not looked after herself these last few years
● Victor Velasco – neighbor in the attic, 40-70
● Telephone Repair Man – tall, heavy-set man, 25-45
● Delivery Man – early 60s
AUDITION INFORMATION:
Auditions are on June 2nd and 3rd, 2025. Please arrive between 6:30-7:00 pm to sign in and auditions will run from 7pm until 9pm. Auditions are open to everyone in the community, even if you have no experience acting!
Headshots and resumes are not required, but welcome if you have one.
We are committed to diverse casting and all roles are open to performers of all backgrounds. All roles are volunteer only and are not paid.

REHEARSALS: Rehearsals will be held from June 9th through July 24th on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays, from 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM.

TECH WK REHEARSALS: July 28 - 30 from 6:30 PM - 10 PM
DRESS REHEARSAL: Thursday, July 31st at 6:30 PM
